use wearing jeans as a carrot to motivate their staff to do something. 

“volunteer at the school dance and you can wear jeans for a week.” 

“help out at the veteran’s day breakfast and you can wear jeans on thursday AND friday!”

“cover a class period for a teacher who unexpectedly got sick this morning, and you can wear jeans all next week!” 

…and for some people, that’s a great reward, and they’ll totally do whatever it is that allows you to wear jeans for a week, but it’s like…

i don’t wear jeans, almost ever. not even on fridays, which is when we’re always allowed to.
